As everyone is aware of the fact
that Coronavirus (COVID-19) has spread across the globe claiming more than 11000 lives and about 244,728 tested positive of this virus as per the reports till
March 20, 2020. At the same time, near about 88,322 people have been recovered
from this deadly virus which comprises around 35%. If we talk about India, the
total number of cases confirmed is 258 and 23 are cure or discharged as well.
Countries like Iran and Spain registered 1000+ deaths whereas Italy being 2nd
best in a health care facility in the world recorded 4000+ deaths after China
where 3200+ had died.
Now is the time for us, Indians
need to understand how crucial it is to follow the instructions given by the health administration.
There are so many people out there who are not taking the situation seriously.
People are still denying self-quarantine after being told to do so by the
authorities, they are going out, getting married or attending events. Above all
this, people who are tested positive are fleeing out the hospitals, isn’t it the
most irresponsible act towards others? Moreover, the municipal corporation of
Mumbai collected over 1Lac rupees from people who spit on the streets, you can
easily imagine how responsible our citizens are? They are just increasing the
chances of spread among other people who might not be aware of the fact the
person they are interacted with is told to self-isolate himself or the surface
they are touching is dirty. If people are saying that news about the count of
increasing patients is making them worried or panic then panic should be to
stay at home, not to wander on public places. Thinking like I won’t get any
virus, I have a strong immunity is the stupidest thing if you are doing
so. Social-distancing, self-isolation
or just say staying at home is the best way to break the chain of getting
contracted with the Coronavirus. There must be a reason that countries have
locked down themselves from the rest of the world, as Wuhan city of China is
now in the recovering phase. We need to learn from other country’s mistakes,
there is no time to make more mistakes and put others into danger. We need to
be alert, aware of the situation and the preventive measures. The high
qualified doctors and government are asking people to stay at home and not move
out until or unless it is necessary. They can only help us if we take
responsibility and unite to self-isolate ourselves for upcoming days otherwise
we already know what is happening in other nations. It is high time to take action on our part for our safety and others.
There are few precautions we need
to take which could help us to be safe:
Do’s
●
Washing hands
regularly with soap or alcohol-based hand rub for 20 seconds.
● Covering face and
mouth with the flexed elbow or disposable tissue while coughing or sneezing.
●
Avoid close contact
(at least 1m or 3 feet) with people who are unwell.
●
Stay home or
self-isolate from others in the household if you feel unwell.
Don’t
●
Touch your eyes, nose
or mouth if hands are not clean.
Don’t believe any misleading
information and do follow the www.who.int for the guidelines to prevent the
spread of COVID-19, also obey the instructions given by the government to stay
safe. Ask as many people you can to stay home. Stay aware stay safe and most importantly stay home.
Exactly, as the good doctors said,"The media should simply shut up, we need caution not panic."
ReplyDeleteWe should be alert and filter what we see/hear through digital media.
The count is increasing day by day. Today 47 new cases have been confirmed in India. People need to take the situation seriously and stay at home.
